| 8Ball Computer Recycling Program: The 8Ball Program has been running since 2005, and aims to ensure that all students have access to a computer at home. have teamed up with Volunteering WA to bring you a large
database of positions available to search through to find the best
position for you both on and off-campus. To start your search
choose
they type of volunteer work you would like to do and/or enter your
postcode. You can choose to enter keywords and your age, although these
are optional. Once you have clicked on search you will be shown anything that matches your criteria, click on more details for any that you want to find out more about. If you want to go ahead and make contact with the organisation click the ˜Express Interest" button at the bottom of the page. Simply fill in your details on the form, tick the authorisation box and then click ˜Send my data". An email will now automatically be sent to the organisation and they should contact you directly. |

practice. Internships are more structured than volunteering
positions, although they are still unpaid. When taking up an
internship you are agreeing to provide a set number of hours, and will
be given a job description. Upon completion of an internship
you
will be eligible for your participation to be noted on your
Developmental Transcript. |

| RSPCA - Marketing Work Experience The RSPCA fundraising department are putting together a magazine which will go to print in late February. It will be a glossy magazine with a print run of about 30,000. They need the help of a work experience student with a marketing background who would like to be involved with the editing of this magazine. Your main role will be to edit information provided by other departments to maintain a high and consistent standard throughout the magazine. You will be working closely with their fundraising manager so will have the opportunity to learn about the challenges a charitable organisation confronts in this financial climate.
