Freedom from Bullying and Censorship Campaign
The Freedom from Bullying and Censorship campaign is underway. Action groups are being formed to ensure that we have a Facebook and Twitter campaign. An online forum is being set up.
The campaign is national and will focus on
1) eliminating bullying in the workplace,
2) working with Unions and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commissions,
3) ensuring appropriate policies and remedies,
4) wiping out institutional and general bullying,
5) supporting those that have been bullied.
We will also focus on eliminating unjustifiable censorship from
1) the workplace,
2) societal institutions,
3) government policies.
We aim to work with various agencies, differentiate between codes of conduct and freedom of speech, ensure robust debate, eliminate censorship where it is evident on university campuses, as this would be tragic if it were the case, and provide reports and recommendations to governments in terms of improving 'whistle blower' conditions and protections.
Please keep tuned for more updates that will enable links to online chat forums, public forums, working parties and links to Facebook and Twitter.
